Eligibility Criteria for SBI PO Recruitment 2016 :

Essential Academic Qualifications: 

(As on 31.08.2016) Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final Year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2016. Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.08.2016. Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply. 

Note: 

(1) The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University/Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing. 

(2) Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicated in online application. If called for interview, the candidate will have to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate authority inter alia stating that the norms of the University regarding conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of norms.

(3) Calculation of Percentage:

 The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours/optional/additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class/Grade is decided on the basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%. 

Age Limit: (As on 01.04.2016) 

Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2016 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1986 and not later than 01.04.1995 (both days inclusive).

Salary/Pay Scale/Emoluments of SBI PO ;

Starting Basic Pay is Rs. 27,620/- (with 4 increments) in the scale of Rs. 23700-980 /7-30560-1145 /2-32850-1310 /7-42020 Applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & prerequisites as per rules in force from time to time.

Application Fee :

Application fee of Rs. 600/- to be paid by General & OBC and Rs. 100/- to be paid by SC/ST/PwD Candidates. Fee is not refundable. Fee should be paid through online mode.

Selection Procedure :

Preliminary Examination (Objective Test of 100 Marks) > Main Examination (Objective & Descriptive Test) 200 Marks > Group Discussion > Final Selection. 

How to Apply for SBI PO for 2016 Recruitment Examination :

Candidates can apply online only from 04-05-2016 to 24-05-2016 and no other mode of application will be accepted. 

(a) GUIDELINES FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION: Candidates will be required to register themselves online through Bank's website www.sbi.co.in/careers or www.statebankofindia.com/careers. After registration, candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using Debit Card/ Credit Card/Internet Banking. Helpdesk: In case of any problemin filling up the form, payment of fee/intimation charges or receipt of Admission/Call letter, queries may be made at telephone no. 022-22820427 (between 11:00 AM to 06:00 PM on working days) or sbirect@ibpsorg.org. Candidates are advised not to forget to mention ‘Recruitment of Probationary Officers in State Bank of India-2016’in the subject of the email.
